Wilkin and Company Tree Surgeons was formed by Jamie Wilkin, who qualified with one of the largest tree surgery businesses in the southeast, learning his trade from some of the best tree surgeons in the country.
City & Guilds NPTC qualifications were gained at Land Skills in Dorking, Surrey. Further experience was gained on a trip of a lifetime to Australia, climbing and working on some of the largest trees in the world, in some of the most inhospitable conditions.
Jamie returned to the UK in 2014 armed with a wealth of knowledge and unforgettable experience
Wilkin and Company Tree Surgeons is a small family run tree surgery business located in Surrey, focussing on the Camberley, Woking & Guildford areas, with a further base in Devon; wherever the work is we will be there to help. We only ever use fully NPTC qualified Arborists with many years experience; rest assured your trees are in safe hands. All staff are highly skilled operatives who have many years experience and are trusted members of our team, carefully picked for their attributes and skills.
We believe in offering our domestic and commercial clients exceptional customer service, this is reflected in the amount of recommendations and repeat customers we have; all tree work is carried out to British Standard (3998-2010).
We hold full Public and Employee liability insurance.
All work is carefully planned with full risk assessments carried out prior to commencement. All staff receive health and safety training and there is always a dedicated first aider on site. Due to the nature of our work, health and safety is paramount; all HSE guidelines are adhered to (PUWER, COSHH, LOLER, AFAG, WAHR, PPE and RIDDOR to name but a few). All machinery and kit is regularly checked and maintained and this allows us to provide the safest, most reliable service to you.
Advancements in technology are enabling us to cut our emissions. Wherever possible, tree surgery waste is recycled with a consideration for the environment. Log wood waste is logged and split for seasoning and then sold on as a renewable energy source. Larger pieces can potentially be used for building materials or arts and crafts. Woodchip is stored and has the potential to be used for biomass boilers throughout the UK and abroad, providing electricity, heating and hot water; alternatively it can be left to mature and used as mulch for beds and borders.
We operate out of our main base in Surrey, but are fully equipped to venture further afield. We offer free, no obligation, quotes and can provide advice and assistance on all tree matters; large or small, we do them all. From tree pruning to tree felling, stump grinding to tree planting and everything in between we’ve got it covered.
